Agreed, with the proviso that it must be controlled, precisely targeted violence, and above all, there must be a workable plan to get your forces to stand down after the goal has been achieved. In the long run, dispersing a standing army has been the biggest problem that violence has caused, regardless of the destruction caused by the actual fighting, because when people get power through successful use of violence, they just don't want to let it go again! Organizations created to achieve one goal, if they persist afterwards, eventually end up working against their original goal.
