Split ranked voting is for absolutely cowardly lolberts and green party who want to absolve their conscience by voting for some fringe piece of shit who will never win, but they also get to not face the consequences of their decisions by getting the mainstream candidate they didn't want in the first place but who is closer than the opposition candidate.
