I don't think Biden's handlers wanted him to let his inner Hitler out into such a bright spotlight. We saw him, and them, for what they are during his overtly fascist speech. It even had fascist trappings -- the night venue, the dangerous, hellish red glow, the armed marines at the ready, the raised clenched fists. Biden could have been speaking at one of Hitler's or Mussolini's rallies in the 1930s, and he would have fitted right in. Could the Demonrats have given nationalists a better meme?
