The looming ammunition shortage isn’t for lack of funds, according to those familiar with the issue. The U.S. announced this week that it was setting aside nearly $3 billion for long-term aid intended to help Ukraine, bringing the total spent on weaponry for the country to $14 billion, and the Biden administration’s Pentagon budget request for next year is $773 billion.

What is needed, she said, is for the government to spend money to fix the problem.

“There are some problems you can buy your way out of,” she said. “This is one of them.”

“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

— Napoleon

I don't see this as being particularly contrary to the best interests of Americans. An enfeebled U.S. Military is a military that cannot be used to oppress an armed civilian population.

true, but it also leaves you more vulnerable to enemies as well

How do you defeat the US military? You're watching it in real time.

well in typical war setting your enemy beats you by physically destroying you, but I understand what you're saying. In this case we're being subverted from the inside by traitorous pieces of shit. Weakened to the point that our enemies not only sense, but our informed how pussified and weak we are.

Also, warfare has clearly evolved to include active economic, cyber, space and psychological theaters, which is also taking place as you said "in real time".

Eventually they will use the decline of individual western countries and American in particular as the reason we need to all band together in a global government.

An astute observation. What solution would you recommend?

It isn't likely to change. Cut funding to the deep state and use that money to down the country's debt would be a start. We need to return the power to the people and the states as the founders envisioned it.

The Ukrainian army delivers 5,000 artillery shells per day to the front, out of warehouses. The Russian army delivers 70,000 artillery shells per day to the front, out of their factories.

It's not only a matter of production capacity. A HIMARS rocket costs 100,000 USD. A Russian MRLS rocket costs a few rubles - no kickbacks to Congress, no shareholders, no licenses.

our country doesn't pay ppl to be this stupid, it's intentional.

But we elect them.

not to the Pentagon, but I get your point.

I’ve been in the machine and will never go back. They don’t care about any of us. I always say, unless you owe them money, become a nuisance or break one of their stupid laws that don’t apply to them they don’t care about you.

I’ve seen people embezzling 100,000’s of thousands of dollars and huge corruption and nothing would happen until the second or third time if you were in a lower position and that’s only if someone from the outside kept putting pressure on them to do something. Usually it would normal person to contact the right congress person or senator to get their first slap on the hand. If caught multiple times they’d be given an early retirement with full pay and benefits. We’re talking about people in their 20’s and 30’s.

If you were higher up you just disappeared with a different title to continue on if you wanted to.

It is amazing how complacent the American public is. We finally get out of the boondoggle that is Afghanistan, then we immediately enter another in Ukraine.

Cuz the media said Muh Russia BAD!

Let's look at the patterns;

USA wasn't supposed to be powerful anymore. President Trump rebuilt our military. Obiden is trying to destroy it again (started with Afghanistan run out gift).

To that point, they are also needlessly pushing diversity and vaccine mandates as well.
