Funny thing is the Dem states can just ig ore everything the Supreme Court says since it only applies in DC. They don't though because that would mean every state could. Imagine what that would look like when the Howley Test was wiped away and states had to piecemeal their own stuff together. :)

they are now racing to impose their out-of-touch agenda on the American people, who do not want it
There is a way for Hank, Jerry, Ro, etc. to have all that their communist hearts desire, but empaneling justices who can't read isn't it. If the American people really wanted something, a constitutional convention with 3/4 approving could fix it at any time. But they can't, because they don't have the votes, and so the statement that the American people "do not want it" is a lie.
So they resort to obtaining the 5 of 9 who can do what they want so much easier - they just declare that it is. Ta Da! No messy voting and stuff.
