I blame the electorate for all of this mess. I have mentioned several times to neighbors, "Hey, did you see that the governor just signed another emergency order giving himself extra legal powers, the umpteenth self declared emergency over 2 years allowing him to do whatever he feels like doing! Don't you think it's time we go back to the normal legal process where there's rules and stuff? You remember, things like the legislature, due process, private health decisions and all that?" "Wha, why would we do that? The CDC says there's still a health emergency, the White House says there's a national security emergency via Ukraine, and everybody knows we'll be underwater or burnt to a cinder within 10 years if this climate emergency isn't dealt with ASAP. I'm just glad someone is handling these things. God bless our Governor and President." Ugh! We're going to get exactly what they are asking for ... a dictator ruling by royal decree complete with secret police to visit dissenters homes and federal troops to prevent public gatherings.
