I saw this episode. A lawyer, Robert Barnes, said that he had information that DeSantis and Trump had agreed to run together. If true, it would be epic. It would insure 12 years of peace and prosperity for America. However, Barnes offered no evidence to support his assertion.

Yup, on all accounts. He is right about Trump starting the campaign now. Strategically this would be a political nuclear bomb going off. He failed to mention that it would force the Dems to start spending against Trump now wich would drain their coffers.

For anyone here calling Barnes and Jones gatekeepers, you are right. But, remember, our enemies are so stupid that they are spending all their resources fighting guys like Barnes and Jones. Remember, guys like these can be useful allies, even if at arms length.

So what's the 4d chess play? The Dems bankrupt themselves and then Trump says "nah, just kidding" and in steps DeSantis?

I don't think there is anything here like a 4d chess move. It's just simple negotiations and strategy. I have heard a lot of different opinions on strategy.

Rhinos don't want the ennoucement at all, first, because they don't want Trump at all, but also because they are afraid that if you announce too early you lose momentum because keeping up momentum for 2+ years is really difficult. Also, the GOP is not going to win as big as everyone things in the midterms so announcing before the midterms might actually screw a lot of GOP candidates because people just hate Trump for no reason.

The other concern that people have with announcing ahead of the primaries is that you REALLY have to have huge amounts of money to fully utilize that time properly and you can run out of resources.

The pros for announcing before the primaries is first you lay claim to all of the energy in the room. It's what happened when Trump announced, the first time, he just sucked the energy out of the room, not a single competitor could hold a conference. There is a video fo Glenn Beck holding a rally, Trump shows up, everyone hears the noise and leaves Glenn Becks rally to see Trump.

The other thing it does is it ties up Desantis as a potential candidate and gives Trump the fuck you card to walk in and destroy everything. What everyone really worries about Trump is that he sucks at organizing and keeping things running like a well oiled machine, he just doesn't do that. Trump is a bull in a china shop, he is great at destrying everything that needs destroying and rebuilding it back how it needs to be rebuilt. The problem is, we thought Pence was a proper foil for him originally but we were wrong about him and everyone around Trump. Desantis actually has a proper history of keeping things running while chopping the things that need to be chopped (sorta). So, the other thing that happens here is that Trump / Desantis are the only way that Trump can present a plausible option for voters where Trump destroys everything in his 4 years and then Desantis takes over for another 8 and makes sure all the things Trump destroyed stay destroyed and rebuilds what needs to be rubilt like a proper middle manager.

Our people fault, especially on here, is that they seem to only be able to see the Jesus strategy. They are looking for some magical Jesus that can be funny, charismatic, destroy everything while also being responsible, measure, statesman like, concilliatory and all of that.

The thing is, you don't build an army out of just infantry. Or out of just snipers. You build an army for the war that you fight. Some wars need more tanks and less planes, others don't require armies and can be fought through media, manipulation and subterfuge.

There is no jesus coming to save us, there is no 4d chess. It's just plain warfare and standard warfare strategies. Our side has not fought for so long our people have completely forgotten how to be on a war footing.

Oh, last point, Trump and Desantis are the only ticket that can win against Michelle Obama, because that is who is running on the Democrat side. Michelle would wipe the floor with Trump without even thinking about it. Don't forget, as powerful as Trump is as a candidate, the only reason that he won was because Hillary ran. If Dems were running that jew Bernie Sanders, Bernie would have wiped the floor with Trump.
