My suspicious mind says: In states with high likelihood of cheating, Pence will promote the cheat-in candidate so that the uniparty can pretend Pence has a R-party following and can beat Trump, useful later when Pence runs for president and needs a cheat-in primary win. Then the uniparty can give R-party someone to vote for who will lose 2024.
