A degree of decentralization has been forced on the US by the sheer incompetence and criminality of the Democratic Party. Biden is not leading America, or rather, he is leading it off a cliff. The impulse is to back away from him, to weaken the power of Washington, which is no longer helping but is actively hurting the states.
