So our military used to require most critical items to be made in USA. Can someone confirm that change occurred under the usual suspect pedo Bill Clinton? Seems to be the"Perry memo" remove the mil spec requirement on many items but I can't seem to get anything solid other than this wiki reference that does not explicitly state the consequences:

Remember the semiconductor shortage that we're still dealing with the repercussions from today? How the big factories in Taiwan were defunct because of a drought? I came up with this weird theory that because China was threatening Taiwan that the factories were being moved out of the country and probably to the US to protect security interests, and the fabs are now beginning to operate in an overlooked spot in Federal land.
