it's all about the lobbying imo. you have the israeli lobby which is the the largest and most active in american politics which are basically funding these politicians into power. With epstein we also learned it wasn't a conspiracy that they also have filthy amounts of blackmail on these guys, so in turn they become mere puppets for their handlers and will push through these unconstitutional laws.
