It is unwilling to commit wholly, just as it was unwilling to commit wholly in Vietnam. The US military can beat the Russians, but it is holding back and allowing other inferior forces to do the fighting, just as it held back in Vietnam. There is widespred grassroots resistance to this war, just as there was grassroots resistance to Vietnam. Hmmmm, I wonder what the outcome will be?
