Remember when the shogun banned the wheel in Japan to prevent social mobility, and the possible fomentation of revolution?

Yup, that's what they're trying here.

and also similarly they had a rule that only samurais could carry two swords, that is similar to trying to limit gun ownership today.

Is that the basis for the two sword display? Is it their Rebel Flag?

not sure if it means anything like that to them, politically or pro gun or anything, it's true in japan they have strict gun laws. They might just like their history and know about the history of having two swords on display.

They are transitioning Us off oil! But not themselves! They will not give up their flying around the world, or their chauffeured rides. No! They plan on keeping Everything available for themselves, just making us do without.

All countries not actively expanding with nuclear power is planning for economic collapse.

All countries actively expanding with wind and solar power is planning for economic collapse.

Whats wrong with solar?

[–] 3 pts

Not reliable and creates grid instability. Same with wind. Neither is cheaper.

To add wind or solar requires a reliable backing source. Which means nuclear or fossil. Which means the real cost of wind and solar is always (wind or solar) + (nuclear or fossil). Except now you're demanding the backing remain unprofitable and mostly idle.

The result is adding wind or solar will only decrease grid reliability and stability and increase energy costs. Period.

Absolutely no sane person advocates for wind or solar at the grid level.

Not to mention having to destroy hundreds of acres of land and displacing wildlife to build solar farms

Find me a Solar Panel company that is strictly solar powered.

Just go look at powerplants by US state on wikipedia and see how much power they put out. You will find solar/wind capacities are a tiny fraction of even one medium sized coal powerplant and solar/wind capacity is optimum capacity, not including cloudy days and days with no wind. Coal plants usually turn out around 1,000MW of capacity and a solar field of decent size is usually about 5MW, and that's capacity, NOT average output. Plus they are made in China with rare Earth minerals mined from China. Wind is a little better but they have to clear cut jungles with Balsa wood because they require so much of it to make the turbines.

harder for elites to control. It's a perpetual motion machine as long as the sun exists. Everyone could have solar panels. They lie oil cuz they can guard the oil fields. Or nuclear power plants, they can guard those. Coal, natural gas, etc same thing.

Wind is also free and easy, and hydro power. They're not transitioning off oil just raising prices to make our lives harder.

It is merely a coincidence that alternate energy is monopolized by our very generous Democrat contributors.

Wait a minute, you are telling me you get to continue to fuck children and I dont get gasoline? How does that work?

[–] 1 pt

> Hey at least 81 million voters wanted the 70 cent jump in gas prices in the last few days. Get ready for everything else to go way up. By the end of the month you will saying: "Lets go Brandon" too.

I member Jimmy Carter saying that. Never happened.

Create a slave class. People won't be able to live in a rural areas. Destruction of freedom to grow and hunt/fish your own food. Agenda 2030

Okay Ms. Energy Secretary - A transition to what, exactly? And when, exactly?
