President Biden gave his long-awaited [?] State of the Union address last night. The White House has posted the text here. Herewith a few observations.

• The spectacle of Biden speaking in front of Vice President Harris and Speaker Pelosi was chilling. We are not a serious country.

• How silly and small did they look by contrast with President Zelensky and every Ukrainian official we have heard from over the past week?

• As Biden rushed through his text and slurred the words, I wondered if he was medicated.

Good article.

I think that was the most disturbing SotU address I've ever watched. It was incoherent. He spent 15 seconds on things like his Supreme Court nomination before spending 3 minutes taking on 'big meat' and other bizarre nonsense.

If you were a Democrat, I don't know how you would hear that speech and not think: 'oh, shit.' There's no way you could have heard that and, with any honesty, thought that this administration was serious - I don't care how much of an acolyte of the left you might be.

I try to at least understand all sides of the political spectrum but I don't know how the 25th Amendment isn't seriously being talked about by Democrats as well.
