Back in the 00's, I was "lucky" (not really) to get my name in the book to be selected for a spot on one of the Detroit Big 3 assembly lines. At that time, the pay was higher than anything else around for the working class.
The first week, we did 0 work. None, the whole 40 hour week. We had to endure "orientation week" hosted by the UAW. It was 4.5 days of leftist political indoctrination, and then .5 days of talking about the actual work we'd be doing on the last day. I'm not even joking. Literally had some spic up on a podium telling us if we didn't vote a particular way that we are racists. Not paraphrasing here, that's what he said. If you're against the UAW or unions, you're racist. On the 4th day, they spend the time trying to convince everyone to sign up for regular donations to the democrat party PAC to be automatically deducted from your paycheck. So many did. Again, not joking or embellishing things. Not stretching the truth one bit.
