Location on a political spectrum isn't as important as what a person is willing to do in order to acheive their goals. "Hard" meaning "we will organize like minded people to commit violence using the authority we've earned through a lifetime of working in your society" describes the cadre of inner political party members and military and law enforcement officials who [are treasonous and should be handled as such](#spoiler) are a genuine threat to the United States even if the individuals they can manipulate on an individual basis aren't. They are pawns in the creation of chaos which will in turn give rise to new order which can be equally against the constitution but in the opposite direction.
