Yeah this seemed wierd to me when I heard about it. I saw him give an interview, he is an intelligent man and some of his opinions sounded as though they were well thought out. Of course the important thing is: will he take his job seriously and properly represent his constituents, regardless of his own opinions? Party affiliation should not really matter but in the clown world we are now living in it's hard to trust anyone.
