If your health improved from stopping caffeine intake you were drinking an obscene amount of caffeine.
Just a cup, sometimes 2 cups a day of normal coffee.
Then I don't believe you. Unless you have a severely compromised immune system. Hamplanet and such. Otherwise 2 cups of normal coffee isn't remotely enough to see negatives.
Caffeine can cause bladder and kidney problems. It’s irritating. Sometimes it causes kidney stones. I was pregnant when it became painful to drink it, though looking back I think it caused minor bladder issues for years. Maybe I’m sensitive to it. No maybe about it, actually. :-; I was just telling someone drinking decaf tea too many days in a row makes me feel shitty though it’s not painful, lack of energy for a couple days. I was verified on FPH on Voat, would verify again if Poal started doing that. So definitely not a fatty. I’m usually pretty healthy, and haven’t had that issue at all since quitting coffee. I may have been exaggerating about how bad it is, but it’s certainly not a harmless substance and IMO most are better off without the habit of drinking it daily.
He's being a little dramatic but I'm the same way. I drink 1 cup a day and that's it, but when I quit for a while I perform better, my mood is better, and I have more energy in general.
Sucks because I love the stuff so I go back and forth but the difference is significant. I've read about it before and found reasonable explanations why it might affect some people more than others.
