Lol. I have a strong accent and I have bumped into a ton of women who hear it and then try mimicking it while I’m talking to them. Usually it is preceded by the words “I have kind of a skill of being able to automatically pick up accents when I hear them…” (as if it’s an innate skill unique to them). Then comes the hokey attempt at the accent as if it’s natural for them and doesn’t at all make them look stupid. It’s always women who do this and I’m sure you can tie it back to an unconscious facet of female psychology.
