Not new, Jersey famously decided to release all illegal criminals after 24 hours to spite Trump. These guys would happily kill their own subjects if it means they get more power. Fun fact: being an American resident of Jersey, carrying a pistol in a car with no permit is a class 3 felony. Doing it as an illegal carries a sentence term of 24 hours, since Jersey does NOT notify ICE of the violation
