New Hampshire was chosen as the state for people who joined the Free State Project to move to. The weather was the single biggest reason I didn't sign up.

The first couple months of cold is kinda fun. I like all the snow. Towards the end of winter though, I cannot wait for the first sprouts of spring.

I lived in VT for a bit, it isn't so much that it is much colder than it is the lack of a nice hot summer. If I could afford it and my job allowed it I would have two homes, one in NH and one in FL or some warmer tax free state.
Depends on where you live tbh. If you’re in the northern part of the state, it can get much colder. The southern part is fairly typical with east coast weather though.
