I already knew he was gonna ban manufacturing of firearms, something in the back of my mind was telling me they would use some spurious loophole to ban everything at once, and sure enough they did. According to the new EO, if you attach a rifle scope to a rifle mount, you have now commited a felony, that is how fucking vague the anti gun EOs are. Specifically, any piece of a firearm that can be assembled or manufactured into a firearm must be serialized, so that's a LOT of fucking parts that are left open to interpretation.
How is someone supposed to serialize a trigger bar?
This is going to get crazy, and quickly.
That's the whole point, make the entire process so painful and difficult, you dissuade anyone from ever owning a firearm. Look at California who wanted a gun to stamp the owners name or some shit on the bullet, and the gun manufacturers had to come back and tell them this isnt fucking hollywood. This also brings the question up of how mills, lathes, 3d printers, metal work equipment, metal rods, nails, pins, springs will be classified, since all those can be used to make a firearm, but can be found at home depot
Yep. The goal isn't so much to outlaw the materials themselves, but the actual process of using knowledge and skill (and publicly available items) to create something they don't want us to have.
