Coup doesn't even make sense contextually. Its just a psy-op on the NPC masses so they start repeating it. Revolt would be a more appropriate word, obviously it wasn't that either. But at no point in history has a population storming the halls of power to overthrow a government been referred to as a "coup". Part of the gaslighting procedure, is to completely fuck with your head through using masses of NPCs to not just lie about reality but to convolute reality.
