As I understand it, influenza numbers are basically a best guess on how many people actually have it, based on things like X number of people were confirmed so we extrapolate that out of the entire population and come up with a number that is like a poll, you assume that if 10 out of 100 do something then 100 out of 1000 and so forth.
It's more profitable to have COVID right now, so even if you have "influenza" you have COVID.
That being said, it's beginning to look like even influenza numbers are bullshit.
