I'm not surprised that Gabbard, a Dem, would suggest UBI as a solution to the current crisis. I'm also not surprised that Romney, a RINO, did the same. What I'm surprised by is my reaction to the news. It was something like;
If the Feds are going to waste a shit ton of money on this thing anyway, maybe it would be better to just give it to end users...

A real conservative politician would say, "Instead of giving everyone $1000 a month, just stop collecting Federal Income Tax. That way there;s no need to send out checks."
