You don't say...

From the post:

>The former head of Social Security has made a dire prediction that the program is facing an unprecedented threat and is on the brink of collapse. It comes as the Trump administration plows ahead with its efforts to shrink the size of the federal government through job cuts and sweeping changes within the Social Security Administration (SSA) under Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). DOGE's mission is to slash government spending but critics argue that such drastic measures are now also dismantling a system that has safeguarded generations. The SSA has been a pillar of stability for Americans for more than eight decades, ensuring that monthly benefit payments arrive on time.

It's been on that collision course for decades. It's continually propped up by using other people's money a pyramid scheme. There's no real way to know how much longer the pyramid scheme can continue until it doesn't.

I'm prepared for this because I know it will collapse. I may not know when, I just know it will.

I wouldn't characterize it stable. It may look stable from the outside, but I know inside it's everything but stable. Governments are never stable. They can't keep the system stable. All they know how to do is steal taxpayer money.

Yeah, I agree. I have never relied on it and won't. I expect to be fully responsible for my retirement (if I ever get to retire) and I just consider any money I have paid into SS to be lost forever.

It's criminal.

It appears the government as a whole is a pyramid scheme, considering insatiable thrist for tax revenue. There is a hole in the bilge of this ship and all of the midwits in the government are just trying to plug it with dollar bills because they are too incompetent to figure out what needs to be done.

I remember as a teenager being told that my generation would never be able to draw social security. All of the money I've paid and continue to pay only serves to keep the current elderly out of the workforce. I suspect that gen x will be most effected by the collapse. The scam needs to be put to rest.

Your understanding is correct: government is a giant ponzi scheme. Watching zelensky beg for war and money should have left no doubt in taxpayer's minds. More evidence was the disgraceful woman complaining about accountability of worker's time. Well, yea, you and I are required to account for our time. Apparently, if you work for a government, you shouldn't be held to account for anything.

Its disgusting behavior. The only people who could be trusted to keep them honest are the tax payers, who rarely interface with most of them.

The word of God used to play a part in keeping the fools of them in check, but society is moving away from religion.

This is an old challenge, but one we must gain some control over. DOGE is a start, but the people must assume the reigns in two years when it terminates.

TLDR: Gov leeches are holding seniors hostage.

Also "IT Outages" is one of the more retarded phrases I've heard.

Anyone that has ever actually worked in "IT" knows that when shit is broken you basically work until it's fixed.

Simple as that.
