Punxsy used to allow people to go up to Gobbler's Knob the night before and drink themselves stupid. I always found that amusing.

You still can in the areas surrounding. I went back in 2002. Once of the greatest holiday events I ever attended, and I was stone sober for all of it. Everyone was happy, the music and dancing was fun, the actual prediction was legit suspenseful, even the cold felt good after a while. Always wanted to go back, but I'm too far from the east coast and too poor now. But that event cemented this holiday as my favorite of the entire year.
