That trial in the New Englandland Journal of Medicine they mention was flawed. They did not account for , there were .

You can not make any sensible conclusions based on that trial’s results.

This paragraph is suspect:

Giyal said ivermectin has been around for several years and is sold at places like tractor supply stores, usually meant for farm animals to treat them against parasitic infections. She said Ivermectin is available in other countries and is used o treat against parasitic infections in humans.

Once again, Ivermectin is first described as animal medication. Then it states that it is available for human use _in other countries_, which is true, but it’s also available for human use in the US. That paragraph is intended to mislead people.

This part is also flawed logic:

“Since the data on Ivermectin from our trial, is still pending you know, I would say that until we get scientific data to support the usage of Ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19. I would be hesitant for anyone to take it without proper supervision,” Dr. Goyal said.

Goyal is also reminding people that there is approved medication for treating COVID-19 that is available.

Ivermectin is one of the safest drugs in the world. You can overdose on any drug if you go higher than the recommended dose range. That is not unique to Ivermectin. On the other hand, the approved COVID-19 medication he refers to has been shown to be unsafe even at recommended doses.

Logic says you should try a perfectly safe, inexpensive drug if you have a severe illness. If it doesn’t actually help the worst you will do is waste a few dollars.

On a side note, the doctors actually treating COVID-19 patients say Hydroxycholoroquine and zinc are the key treatments for the current variants. Quercetin is an off the shelf stand‐in for Hydroxychloroquine.
