Alex would never have reported his own wife to the police. That means she attacked someone outside the immediate family on Christmas Eve, probably someone who came to the Jones' house to visit. And she was probably drunk, in addition to being high on pills.
Do you know of the procedure called a "hysterectomy"? A surgery in which the uterus is removed?
Do you know how it was named this? "Rectomy" roughly means "removal"... "hyster"... what do you think that means?
Hysterectomy directly translates to "cutting the hysteria out". The ancient Greeks/Romans had all of this shit figured out millennia ago. They likely noticed that bouts of hysteria in women practically disappeared post hysterectomy.
