They're partially right, an underage kid had to use a rifle (of which he absolutely has the right to do so) to defend himself from a pedophile that should've been roped, a wife beater and a felon with a gun. The surviving assailant likely won't even be charged.

I don't think anyone makes a big deal of it in the trial because tens of thousands of people who live near a state line that crosses through a nearly continuous suburban area cross state lines on a daily basis.
