I sometimes played with dolls with my older sisters when I was little. They would never come outside with me and play with my trucks and my little army men though...
We had GI Joe and Action Jackson dolls when I was a kid. We'd set them up in their jeeps and trucks and shoot BB guns at them, and we'd set them on fire. The Action Jackson doll had a parachute kit and when you threw it up in the air it would invariably get stuck in a tree. The Evel Knievel stunt motorcycle was also a big hit with kids.

I had my canopy draped over a branch once. That was a scary approach, but it worked out in the end.
