I used to mock the silliness and simpleness of the unsophisticated person talking about the power of the devil, and how the devil deceives us to convince us to follow evil things and turn away from Christ. How backwards do you have to be to believe that the devil is everywhere and so thoroughly successful in his corruption of all things of this world? But I've come to realize that Bobby Boucher's mother wasn't so silly.
The devil is very influential and is indeed working everywhere, especially in the church. I will not continue to underestimate it.
On a side note, a youth pastor preaching on Mary's abortion options or the gender fluidity of the Almighty has a lighting bolt with his name on it. I hope he gets to explain himself to his Creator very soon.
