On October 2, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection referred Maria Alejandra Montoya Sanchez, an illegal alien from Colombia who was previously arrested for theft criminal possession of stolen property, and her daughter to secondary inspection at the Fort Lauderdale International port of entry.

A records check revealed the subject entered the U.S. on September 13, 2018, on a B2 tourist visa and failed to depart. Both Montoya Sanchez and her daughter were put into immigration proceedings.

The mother and daughter accepted a voluntary departure back to Colombia on February 6.
 Parents can take control of their departure and receive a free flight and $2,600 with the CBP Home app. By using the CBP Home app illegal aliens reserve the chance to come back the right legal way.

This wasn't family affinity. Mom thought she could leverage her child for a quicker release, or even a return to her US residence with an admonishment and future court date. Mom is scum.
