It'd be nice if this was some sort of political stand, but it's not. Two issues related to the Bears wanting a new stadium: 1) IN has offered some public funds and incentives to the team, IL has refused public money. 2) Thre's no room for a modern stadium in downtown Chicago proper. The land considered on the IL side is actually significantly further away from their current site than the land being considered in IN.
