Agreed, he's a written a story or two, Cujo comes to mind, but he's been a retard for so long now, I haven't read anything he's penned in a very, very long time.
I was thinking The Stand, The Green Mile, and Shawshank Redrmption. I quit reading his books 25 years ago.
The Stand - IMHO - marked his high point, and after that it seemed like he was just cramming words onto paper. That or perhaps his short stories written under his Richard Bachman pen name.
Agree. His short stories and Bachman books were good. Like Springsteen, he may have been relevant 30 years ago, but he's an out of touch asshole now.
Right about the time he wrote himself into his own books he officially jumped the shark. But he was shit well before that.
