No problem. Who knows, maybe some factory service centers might be willing to do it too. It will still depend on where you are and if it is a franchise or if it is company owned. As far as I know in most (maybe all) states this is not illegal.

Not sure about emissions, but it was certainly implemented for the minor MPG boost.
