Most of us here will say "Well duh!" but it's important to get the data. See were UBI actually did good, where it didn't and what other sides came up which are important to see the whole picture.
And what a sad picture it is, but it's the truth.

In addition they did the experiment wrong. For a UBI system to actually work UBI would have to be calculated based on ALL government safety nets, welfare, food stamps/EBT, etc. and wholesale replace all those handouts. UBI would be the only government handout available, nothing else, and that is for the government to cover absolute basics like food, clothing, maybe some rents. Let's say every single person got $10,000 a year, married couple gets $25,000, and each dependant gets a $1000 a head/year. Now in SOME places someone could pull off living on that small amount renting an apartment avoiding property taxes, etc. Certainly not in any major cities.
Of course, I am way over simplifying it by ignoring COLA, property taxes, school taxes, local sales taxes, etc. that need to be paid out of that UBI + yearly income.
