Incredibly cringey but it's not because of covid. This has been a thing since 2015 at the latest. It's because of the young people being starved for a sense of identity in the consumerist, multicultural wasteland that the west has become. Boomers pick a sports team, zoomers pick a sex flag or an animal to pretend they are. It's all misdirected tribalism.
