Today, we are announcing a change ...

That ship has sailed. You already revealed your character.

[–] 0 pt

Yep, you lost the only thing that your business relies on. Customer trust. You are never getting that back.

Sounds like a reasonable response and change.

But honestly, this is why it should require a physical key and not hackable electronics.

So... All is forgiven? Does that solve the problems they caused? Fuck them.

Like a cheating roastie who wants to be forgiven and is now ready to settle down.

Joe Fail (interesting name, sounds made up) , was the company's accountant before he took the CEO role. I don't want to stereotype accountants, bankers, lawyers, and politicians, but it sure seems like they all belong to the same tribe most of the time. I haven't been able to find out much about ol Joe. Typing Joe Fail seems to point to Biden most of the time for me.

This incident is, for sure, a terrible tragedy. And Liberty Safe should not just be embarrassed; I honestly think they should get the bud-lite treatment for this. We all know every safe company has back doors in to the safes, and for precisely this reason. (If you didn't know that then you're woefully ignorant and shouldn't have a safe.)

But there is a HUGE lesson here for people who don't understand the rules. First, if the cops want to get in your safe, they're going to do so with or without yours or the manufacturer's help. And if they do it the hard way then they'll ruin your safe. And good luck getting that paid for - even if they don't find what they want to find.

DO NOT STORE ILLEGAL OR INCRIMINATING ITEMS IN YOUR SAFE. It's the first place people will look for things. If you have really incriminating stuff, store it OFF-SITE in a location which can't be tied to you. No, that's not easy. If it were then it wouldn't be safe.

And if you can't store things off-site, then find very creative places to hide things. I don't need to describe places to hide things here, there are plenty of instructionals on the web. Do your research.

So if you have incriminating stuff (drugs, ghost guns, unregistered guns, illegal knives - whatever), don't keep them in an obvious safe. If the cops suspect you of something, they will get in to that safe, one way or another.
