Simple. People have been demoralized to the point of almost no return until they saw that THIS boycott had some legs. The usual back benchers started hopping on and before you know it the numbers were greater than the enemy can counter. Not to mention that no matter what Jewwood keeps trying to gaslight people with, NO ONE in their right mind wants to be seen as a homo OR drinking homo beer.
It's because no one cares until they try and ram it down your throat, directly.

It's just that this one was very easy to react against. The key is it happened in a very competitive market segment: there are many alternatives to low-cost beer.
Not so with other things like cellphones, movie studios, and social media -- here they can dictate "policy" with no fear of reprisal, because they've long eliminated competition.
