I think in the not too distant future they’ll start publically and loudly proclaim the real end game. No guns of any kind. Period. They ARE that power hungry and think they can finally pull it off.

I don't think so. In a few years, probably less than 10, capacitors will have the capacity and small size to make handheld coilguns practical and deadly. Gun control is dead at that point.
