Yep. People used to not lock their doors. Used to have vending machines in the middle of nowhere. Used to have delivery guys enter your home and drop things off into your kitchen - sometimes without you there. Used to ... And the demographics changed, crime exploded, and you're a racist asshole for noticing or even commenting on the official FBI statistics.

I remember that, where I grew up there was a (reasonably remote) grocery store that would deliver your groceries. When they did so, they would take them inside and put the box of groceries on the bench, any items requiring refrigeration would be put into your fridge or freezer, this would be done whether you were there or not. Payment was on account, so most people would pay for their groceries monthly. All the books were hand written and sparse, so it was basically you taking their word for how much you owed (the did not fuck over anyone).

I was still a kid then, we would have tennis practice in that remote town after school. By that time, the store would be closed, but one of the kids families had a key to the store, so we would go and unlock the store and buy drinks/lollies after tennis practice. We would pay for what we got and put the money in the cash register ourselves. That shop sold everything too, from mixed lollies to angle grinder blades and shotgun shells. Those were the good old days (everyone was white).

Yep. My father's and grand father's generation experienced this. This was all common stuff. Back when American was white.

Good old days. Up until Obama convinced blacks they didn't have to act white, America was good.
