They don't even want you to own a car. They want all the cars hooked up to a backend system and to essentially be rentals if it needs maintenance it will drive itself to the mothership for repairs. As soon as they can they will phase out the idea that you are going to manually drive your car. If your car tells you that you are not going anywhere that will be that.
