Shit is a super flu spreading super fast Not one child has died from it as far as I know, and they don't get that much sick, less than adults. However they can infect all people around them as any other carrier, and it seems that the older you get the harder it kicks, for some reason. Also, people with diabetes or already existing lungs conditions (smokers typically) or weak immune systems, get quite sick. Old people tend to get fucked over evidently. Said like that it doesn't seem that terrible However your immune system gets weakened for a while once you get it (pretty much like with any other flu shit you can get)... Also you can get it multiples times, just because you already got it doesn't mean you're immune to it... And it takes time to completely eliminate the virus from your body, weeks/months. Also, it can jump from human to pets and pets to humans... It survives outside of a host on hard surfaces for like a couple of days... And yeah it's extremely contagious, with 15 days incubation under the radar, symptom less, while the carrier is contagious Bottom line that's likely the type of shit everybody is going to get at some point, and worst case scenario is when everybody gets it at the same time No vaccine evidently, but maybe a "cure", cocktail of anti malaria and anti hiv shit gets rid of it... Until you catch it again. So in the end, it's not that much worse than an ordinary flu, for the individual, but for the collective that's quite a major pain in the ass
