I'd like to know more about this topic before voicing outrage and despair. At this point I have a couple of headlines, articles, speculation and conjecture on this massive AI project. If I had some life impairing/ending genetic disease, this AI approach might be a godsend. Otherwise I would never take mRNA anything, or anything gene altering. As it is I don't take any meds, and at my age that is fairly unusual. I don't intend to ever take any meds if I can get through life without them. As you can tell, I've ***always*** been skeptical of BigPharma. As far as cures for cancer, I think we already have them but they are being buried (like HCQ?, Ivermectin?). AI might expose those buried cures we already have. 25 years ago I assume we would hit a challenge like curing cancer using design of experiment techniques (like in chemistry and electronics). Developing a monster AI tool is their goal. We're probably fucked if we do, fucked if we don't (our adversaries will create one and they will have the advantage). What the monster could be used for is a wide ranging list of humanities problems to be solved. Is cancer just an excuse to get it launched and funded? IDK. Once it gets started, it's objectives could be quickly changed. What if AI is asked where does the root of all evil originate and it responds "the jews" complete with a long list of facts? Lol! Will that precipitate Armageddon? God tells us that is how it ends no matter what we do. God game theoried this out thousands of years ago. So AOU, to answer your question why I haven't commented, I don't have any informed input to add, I'm not a big commenter unless I feel I have a good understanding of the subject and have something of value to add to the conversation.
