I listened to the description of the AI for cancer treatment. Each cancer is unique to the individual due to the defects (markers) in whatever short or long arm of chromosomes are involved. For example, not all breast cancers are the same, with some cancer markers being more aggressive with short remission and lifespan, and other people having breast cancer markers responding better to currently available treatment, or the chop it off method. People treated similarly with the same type of cancer label have their own unique collection of markers, which is why they say each cancer is unique. Current day targeted similar treatments for cancer destroy healthy cells along with the cancerous cells. My understanding of the described AI is that it would find the patient's cells with it's unique defects markers on damaged chromosomes in cells that are multiplying out of control, and target only those damaged cells to help your body destroy those cells with a unique one-person treatment formulated in 48 hours, leaving healthy cells undamaged. That would help only that one person get rid of the cancer cells that multiply within their body. If there were a one-same-shot-fixes-all-types of cancers, I'd be worried because that wouldn't make sense.

Individually manufacturing these treatments is already happening and will be very expensive. For example, we already have FDA approved blood cancer treatments involving harvesting each patient's own cells in a lab and then adding a gene to it and now it is CAR-T cells to be given back to the specific patient. Brain cancer patients are in clinical trials for CAR-T. An AI would help to develop the CAR-T for each person. Regarding money, that is where the health insurance comes in. This is very expensive. The cost of CAR-T can exceed $500,000 to $1M per patient.

I'd like to know more about this topic before voicing outrage and despair. At this point I have a couple of headlines, articles, speculation and conjecture on this massive AI project.
If I had some life impairing/ending genetic disease, this AI approach might be a godsend. Otherwise I would never take mRNA anything, or anything gene altering. As it is I don't take any meds, and at my age that is fairly unusual. I don't intend to ever take any meds if I can get through life without them. As you can tell, I've always been skeptical of BigPharma.
As far as cures for cancer, I think we already have them but they are being buried (like HCQ?, Ivermectin?). AI might expose those buried cures we already have. 25 years ago I assume we would hit a challenge like curing cancer using design of experiment techniques (like in chemistry and electronics).
Developing a monster AI tool is their goal. We're probably fucked if we do, fucked if we don't (our adversaries will create one and they will have the advantage). What the monster could be used for is a wide ranging list of humanities problems to be solved. Is cancer just an excuse to get it launched and funded? IDK.
