I've since change my opinion. It was indoor plumbing & the washing machine. Women are no longer compelled to go out to the local fountain to wash the family's clothing, where they have an excuse to gossip while they work. Now they have time, are looking for an excuse to get out of the house, run their mouths, while doing something that lets them work with their hands.

I have an interest in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It's the oldest surviving Chinese novel that's historical fiction. It's based on the late 100s going on into the 200s in ancient China. This is a time period when China split into a place ruled by several regional warlords and ultimately was ruled by 3 kingdoms. They would mention how the Han Dynasty lasted for about 400 years. I was aware the story starts with the Yellow Turban Rebellion. I started wondering what happened to make things so bad that the people were rebelling.

What I found out was that there was a series of emperors that were too young to rule. So they had their mothers and eunuchs running things instead. Basically, China turned to shit back then because the rulers didn't have any balls.

Let's say that what he wrote is true. He (and ya'all, nearly all the time) just are unable to ever become aware that women - who are human beings ( a lesson to many on Poal ) have _wants_ . And these _wants_ may not all be perfectly aligned with the neo-Calvinist masturbatory desires of the I-know-it-all blokes who seem to make up the vast majority of the commentary here, on Poal.

A woman may want to have some career success, 'cos she wants to be at least a somewhat successful scientist (say) like her mother or father or role models. She might want to have complete financial independence because so many men are complete and utter fuckwit simpleton TV-watching booster-taking irrelevant androids.

If any of you (ya'll) could take into account these human beings' wants (in your crawl-out-of-the-swamp philosophies), then you would be much further ahead, and you might actually get to sleep with someone who actually likes you.
