The way they keep exploding I think people that buy them need to pay the $200 for an NFA tax stamp same as I would to purchase and register a DD.

I don't doubt that the lithium batteries played a part in starting the chain of events that led to this explosion, but the batteries themselves were not the source of the explosion. I expect that the explosion was actually from a gas line or other fuel storage container. Lithium ion batteries just don't react like that or contain enough energy to explode in that way. They are also not sealed containers that can build up enough pressure to let 'er rip in that dramatic of an explosion. EV batteries are still very dangerous and we should not be using them on anything but a small scale so we can avoid bigger disasters like this as well as smaller ones that are much more common.

Oh, I agree with you. People have no clue about anything. However, I like the headline because it will fuck up the WEF agenda of EVs and consumer expectations. Just like how they use any weather pattern to scream "climate change", I'll take this too.
