Is there proof of that?
It's hard to prove a negative but I just saw this posted to ConPro a week or two ago and someone had posted (IIRC) a statement from Gibson's agent that he hadn't said that, and I believe no one could find an article sourcing the quote either.
Still can't be sure what's true. It's the internet after all.
Do you know what was he canceled for in the first place?
He was cancelled for those tapes that came out talking to his wife (gf?) about how when she dresses like a slut she looks like she's asking to get "raped by a pack of niggers" lmao.
Also various comments on jews (not like this one though, more mild stuff), The Passion of the Christ etc. but I think the tapes were really what they used at the time to cancel him.
The only place I’ve ever seen this quote is in print. I asked posters many times in the past for audio or video to validate it. None ever could.
If there is actual evidence that he ever said this, I haven’t seen it. But if it exists. I’d love to.
