It's the American Dream thing they talk about so much. These stories are a dime a dozen too. Some noname jew from a poor (often Eastern European) country one day pops up in the USA, he runs into some stein or berg (who's always a banker or a businessman), then one thing follows another and suddenly this poor jew finds himself operating a multi million company or somesuch. They'd later proudly call it a result of their "hard work" and "passion" in the following interviews.
